Solids Liquids and Gases
In Science, we have been learning about solids, liquids and gases.
Students have been practicing sorting solids and liquids:
We can explain the differences and similarities:
We know what happens when heat is added in this situation:
We learned that a gas can be difficult to see and its molecules are spread out far, filling up a space equally, no matter the size or shape of the container. Just like with these balloons:

Happy New Year and Welcome Back!
Hello Room 15 Families,
Happy New Year and welcome back! We hope the holiday season was relaxing and enjoyable with your loved ones. Please help your child dress warm over the next couple of weeks. It is very chilly!!
We would like to extend a warm welcome to Alexandra! We are excited to have Alexandra in our classroom and we are looking forward to getting to know her.
We hope that you had a chance to do some fundraising over the holidays for our school, with the brown package that was sent home before the break. Our "Dance 4 Dough" school dance is on January 30th. This fundraiser is in place of our "Run 4 Funds", and is our only non-parent council school fundraiser for this year. We rely heavily on those funds to help decrease the cost of our school field trips and for needed recess equipment. All money needs to be handed in by January 15th.
Thank you very much for your support.
