Halloween Centres

On Wednesday we had Halloween centres all morning. We had so much fun estimating and measuring pumpkins. We counted over 150 pumpkin seeds, played some Halloween bump games, drew some spooky monsters and organized Halloween data about bats.  Here are some pics from our morning:

Vocabulaire De L'Halloween

Today, in French, we learned Halloween words. We learned 2 songs that were "really cool"! Some of the words that we learned were:
Une fantome
Une chauve-souris
Un monstre
Un squelette
Une sorciere
Des bonbons
Un sac
Une citrouillle

Mom and Dad, see if you can guess what these words mean! (Try matching them with the English words!)
pumpkin, treat bag, monster, ghost, bat, skeleton, witch, candy

Good luck! (Or should we say... "Bonne chance"!)

This week, Room 15 has spent a lot of time discussing who and what we are thankful for. We combined writing and art to create these amazing projects.

Forces that Attract or Repel

We have been learning about forces in Room 15. A force is a push or a pull. It is not something you can see or touch, but you can see it in action. Today we saw the force of magnetism in action. Here are some things we observed in our experiment:

"When two north poles try and touch, they push apart or repel."  Steven & Haley

"When two south poles try and touch they also repel." Nathan

"When a north pole and a south pole meet together, they attract." Cole
