Testing the Strength of Materials

Today we tested the strength of straws.  We learned that when we bundled the straws together, they were stronger because they held more pennies.  We started with one straw and it held 48 pennies.  We ended our experiment with four straws and it held 208 pennies!  Here are some pictures of our experiment:

Types of Structures

Today we talked about man-made and natural structures.  We sorted pictures of both types into a T Chart, with our table groups. Here is a shot of what we did today:
