Today we had so much fun making our Gingerbread Houses!  They smelled sooooo good!  We used a small milk carton as the base and placed graham crackers around it.  Icing was the glue of course!!!
It was yummy, licking our fingers as we built.

We also used Gum Drops, Candy Canes, Runts, Hershey's Kisses, Lolly Pops, Pinwheel Mints, Coke Bottles, Jelly beans, Marshmallows, Christmas Candy Corn, Liquorice, M & M's, Silver Cola Balls, Chocolate Santas, Whoppers, White Cotton Candy (for snow) and the list goes on...

Check out our delicious creations below:

Moustache, Jersey Day!

Today was a fun day!  In hopes of winning an autographed Winnipeg Jets jersey, the whole school came in a jersey today.  We also sported milk chocolate moustaches, in support of Mo-vember!  Here are some pictures of us!

Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament

The note that went home on Friday was about our school-wide, "Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament".  We will be starting tomorrow, so students are welcome to start bringing in their non-perishable food items.  If you have lost the information sheet on our food drive project, please let us know and we can send home another one.

Here is a short video made by Ms. Nevieri, featuring Cole and Carson:

Design Process

These past two weeks have been exciting for the students in Room 15. They have been planning, building and testing their magnet games and marble runs.

Click on the link below to see some video action.

Run 4 Funds

Tomorrow morning is your last chance to bring in Run 4 Funds money.  The kids were very excited to complete our run on Friday afternoon.

Our class has raised a total of $157.65.  We'd like to reach $200.00 if possible.

Thank you for supporting Lakewood School Fundraisers.

Halloween Centres

On Wednesday we had Halloween centres all morning. We had so much fun estimating and measuring pumpkins. We counted over 150 pumpkin seeds, played some Halloween bump games, drew some spooky monsters and organized Halloween data about bats.  Here are some pics from our morning:

Vocabulaire De L'Halloween

Today, in French, we learned Halloween words. We learned 2 songs that were "really cool"! Some of the words that we learned were:
Une fantome
Une chauve-souris
Un monstre
Un squelette
Une sorciere
Des bonbons
Un sac
Une citrouillle

Mom and Dad, see if you can guess what these words mean! (Try matching them with the English words!)
pumpkin, treat bag, monster, ghost, bat, skeleton, witch, candy

Good luck! (Or should we say... "Bonne chance"!)

This week, Room 15 has spent a lot of time discussing who and what we are thankful for. We combined writing and art to create these amazing projects.
